Weight Watchin Wednesday

Hey everyone sorry this blog is a little late....but it's still Wednesday.   Well I measured and weighed tonight and it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be.  Since I didn't weigh or measure last week and I haven't done the best food and exercise wise I was worried... but I lost another pound so that makes 5 total to make my current weight 234 and I actually lost some inches.

Here is this weeks break down...

My left and right thighs stayed the same and so did my left and right arms.  Everything else changed and here is how much

My chest increased an inch from 43.5 to 44.5  I have gained an inch since I started....need to change that!
My small waist (under chest) decreased .25 of an inch  from 38.25 to 38 for a total of 1 1/2 inches lost since I started
My large waist (belly button) decreased half an inch from 49 to 48.5  for a total of 1 inch lost since I started!!!
My hips decreased .25 of an inch from 50.25 to 50  I have lost a total of .25 of a inch since I started.

Def. not the best numbers but at least I still see change.  I have been really slack on my water consumption and I finally have gotten back in the gym... yesterday so hopefully next week will show a bigger change and I will keep working towards my goal.

I will blog everyday this week.....

I have been having a hard time blogging this past week and a half.  Sorry to all 5 of my faithful readers out there.  I appreciate you!  

To catch up over the past few days..... I weighed myself last wednesday and had lost a pound.  I was not very happy with how I was doing with my diet... so I didn't even measure.   I will be back this Wednesday with weight and measurements!

We went out to eat a few times the past couple of weeks and I have been proud of myselft with the choices I have made.  At Ruby Tuesday's I got their mini burgers and a salad.  It was 2 mini burgers and they were really good!  I made sure to eat more salad than anything else.  I went to applebees and they have these menu items under 500 calories and I got one of those.  It was really really good  some type of chicken with fresh veggies.  Haven't made any outstanding recipes lately... so maybe one this coming friday!

Haven't seen any new movies lately.  I have started listening to Lady Antebellum (2 of the group members are from Augusta)  and they are my new favorite.  I've listened to them since their first c.d. but now i'm addicted to their newest one! 

I found a blog the other day and I love love love it.  She is a photographer and a christian.  She has a lot of stuff on there about photography and some great tips.  Check her out!   http://www.pixelperfectblog.com/     

Ok so I have wednesday caught up, food fridays, tuesdays, and thursdays.... now just a couple new pictures to catch me up and I will start fresh tomorrow!!!!

Weight Watchin' Wednesday

Well it's already Wednesday again...my how time flies! This means I need to do my weekly weight loss update, so here goes.


I have been very careful this week with what I have ate. No fast food and I've only been drinking water and minimal juice. We've tried to cook most of our meals at home and if we did eat out, I made very wise choices.

I haven't been to the gym this week because I'm having some complications with my membership so I can't go! I will be going tomorrow when I get off work to get things cleared up!

I have checked my weight about once every two days just to check and keep an eye on it. I know they say to only check it once a week, but I like to just see where things are.

I'm very proud to say that as of today I am down to 236. That's 3 pounds in a week. My measurements haven't changed too much, but there have been some changes.

My chest, hips, and thighs have stayed the same as last week

My left arm is down .5 to 14.5
My right arm is down .25 to 14.75
My small waist is down 1.25 to 38.25 ( this is the area I always see the change first!)
My large waist (belly button) is down 1.0 to 49

So all in all i'm very happy. This next week I will continue with watching what I eat and making sure I drink plenty of water. I will also get back into the gym and I hope to see some more changes next week!!!

Starting weight, measurements, photos

Ok.... here we go.

My first goal is to lose the weight that I have gained since the wedding... which is about 10 to 15 pounds.  After that I will set my next goal.  I hope I can lose these pounds pretty quickly just like I did before the wedding.

I will drink water and unsweetend tea.  I will have minimal juice drinks and no carbonated drinks.

I will try my hardest to not eat fast food and if I do have to get something out, I will only get chicken or salad.

I will try to make it to the gym at least 4 to 5 days a week.  If I can't make it to the gym I will at least walk the neighborhood or do something indoors.

When I have reached my first goal I will re-evaluate these things and see what I need to add and what I need to discontinue.

Well here are my measurements (all in inches)

Left Arm-- 15
Right Arm-- 14.75
Chest-- 43.5
Small Waist( right under bra line)-- 39.5
Large Waist (around belly button)-- 50
Hips-- 50.25
Left Thigh-- 30.75
Right Thigh-- 30.75

My starting weight is...... 239 pounds.... I will not hit 240 and that only means I can only go down from here.

And now for my before pictures.  And NO I'm not pregnant....even though thanks to the fat around my middle...I look it.

I did two front images because the black pants seem to make me look smaller but in the pink pants my arms aren't out and so you can't see everything.
I'm not pregnant....promiseI have scoliosis...and the fat just makes it more pronounced.

Hey! My name is Kimberly and....

I'm overweight.   There I said it.   Now I can do something about it.  I've never been "skinny" and I've never been been "huge" either... I've always been in the middle.  Until I met Brandon....and got comfortable. I mean hey here is this guy who loves me for me and so why should I try anymore right??  Well that worked until I got engaged and realized I didn't want to look like this on my wedding day.  So after months of working out and eating right...and then not working out and not eating right, I couldn't fit into my wedding dress.  So here it is the end of September and I'm getting married in November and I am seriously thinking I will have to wear a trash bag on my wedding day.  I finally kicked it into high gear and was working out at least 5 days a week, drinking nothing but water, and eating healthy... I had stopped all fast food!!! Brandon, my family, and my friends were so supportive and I lost 15 pounds before the wedding... got in my dress, felt so much better, and was really happy with myself.

And then we went on a cruise for our honeymoon. I came back 10 pounds heavier and so did Brandon.  I didn't know it was possible to gain 10 pounds in a week... but I did.  The clothes I wore the first part of the week didn't fit when I got back and instead of getting back in the gym and eating right... I sat on my butt at work and at home and didn't step foot into the gym for almost 2 months.  Ate my way through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years and haven't thought too much about it.  Until I started watching the new season of The Biggest Loser.  I told Brandon "I weigh the same as them... I'm not big enough to be on that show am I" and he said they are probably shorter than you, which means they carry their weight different than you do.  Well I was looking online and saw where they put each contestants weight and height on there... and there were 2 girls my height and very close to my weight on the show.... That stopped me in my tracks and jolted me back to reality.  

I have to get this weight off... since the wedding I have gained back all 15 pounds I lost plus 5-8 more pounds.  I don't feel good and I can't fit into any of my clothes.

So, I am going to do my own biggest loser I'm going to put out on the internet for all the world to see my weight, my measurements, and before pictures of myself.  I hope by making my weight loss public I will be held more accountable and I hope that my readers will be encouraging to me and supportive.  I will post weekly updates on my weight loss, inches lost, food im eating, and work out program. 

If anyone wants to join me in this challenge send me an email at ksbusby@yahoo.com  and we can do it together!   I'm ready to get my life back and be able to fit into my old clothes!!!!!  I know I can do it. No, I don't have my wedding dress to get into before the big day but I do have a ton of clothes that I can work towards getting into!
