Nina Fredeen- Gained her angel wings

Praying for Nina
I heard about this little girl out in Santa Barbara, California in August from a photographer friend. She was diagnosed in August 2010 with an inoperable brain tumor and her mom has been keeping a blog about Nina's progress, daily things, and videos of Nina and her family. Nina has been having a really rough time lately and I want to ask my blog friends to please keep her and her family in your prayers and thoughts. She is such a fighter and such a beautiful little girl that she has touched my heart and i'm sure thousands of others that have never met her.
Since the beginning of this diagnosis Nina's family has said that there is one outcome (complete healing) but two very different ways of getting there (on this Earth or in Heaven) We pray for healing here on Earth, that she will beat this and have a very happy and normal childhood and grow into an amazing young woman. Either way, pray for Nina, her mom and dad, her brother and cousins, and all of her friends and family.

I wanted to spread some New Year cheer and offer up a few free photography sessions! The details are on the flyer... but I wanted to add a little more information on here.
* You only need to email or comment your information in one location or to one address. I will collect everyone's names to add into the drawing.

Free session and a c.d. of pictures! Your husband and kids can come too!
You can jump in a pool, lake, river, or ocean. We can go out to a field, go find some horses, go downtown. You can get painted or any other ideas that you have! Basically its a bridal session...but we won't be worried about keeping your dress extra clean!

I'm really trying to get the hang of this blogging thing!
I am in the process of some major changes to my photography business and have been working 40 hrs a week at my "real" job, with that said.... I have fallen so behind in my blogging. I'm struggling to keep up with daily blogs and the only one I'm catching every week is my weight loss blog. I'm trying to change some stuff around so maybe I can just blog whenever I feel like it and not make it a daily thing. I'll let you know what I decide!! Until then, I'm very excited to say that I have decided to change the name of my photography business and really get it up and running. My new business name is Kimberly S. Busby Photography. I am in the process of building a brand new website and I'm super excited about it!!!! Until it is ready "2 or so weeks" I have started a photography blog that contains information and such for my customers. You can take a look at it at ksbusbyphotography.blogspot.com It's brand new so don't hate on it too much! I have really been getting a lot of business and referrals lately and I am super excited to see how everything works out. Weight Watchin Wednesday
Hey everyone,
This week has been a tough week for me. I have been slack on my water consumption. I have gone to the gym at least 3 times this week. I have not ate the best stuff. With that all being said.... I've gained back 3 pounds. I'm sitting at 237 right now and last week I was 234. I have lost some inches and I've also been hitting the gym harder than I have since the wedding... so I think that I'm retaining a good amount of fluids and that is probably part of my gain. I need to keep that water coming so I can flush out my insides. That will be my goal for this week!!!
On to the inches....
I have lost inches everywhere this week except for my waist (around belly button)
Left Arm- Decreased from 14.5 inches to 14 inches
Right Arm- Decreased from 14.75 inches to 14 inches
Chest- Decreased from 44.5 inches to 42 inches !!!!!!!
Small Waist- Decreased from 38 inches to 37 inches
Large Waist- Increased from 48.5 inches to 49 :(
Hips- Decreased from 50 inches to 49 inches
Left Thigh- Decreased from 30.75 inches to 30.5 inches
Right Thigh- Decreased from 30.75 inches to 30 inches
My goals for this coming week are to continue with my inches lost, make sure I don't gain in more back in my waist, work towards getting the weight off, drinking more water, excercising at least every other day.

My new favorite site!
This was supposed to be Thursdays post...but I never posted it...so here it is now!
My good friend Tracy over at http://lifeasacarr.blogspot.com/ told me about this website where you can earn points and then get stuff in return! It's basically like a rewards card or a credit card with reward points, except this is all online and you don't have to spend any money unless you want too! There are many ways to earn points and some are very easy! The best way to get started is to start a separate email address just for this site and then join. Once you join you can fill out a profile (get 60 points for that) and then you will start receiving emails and stuff.... some of them say (check out this website for 5 points) all you have to do is click the website and then click out.... and you get the points! You can also take surveys, join groups, or play games online. You only do what you want to do and always use your new email address so that you don't get junk mail in your normal email. One of the biggest ways to receive points is to shop online. There are some major companies that will give you points for shopping their online store. Kohls, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Gap , JcPenney just to name a few... all you have to do is go to mypoints.com and then follow the link to the website.... shop like you normally would and when you place your order you get the points!!! Weight Watchin Wednesday
Hey everyone sorry this blog is a little late....but it's still Wednesday. Well I measured and weighed tonight and it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. Since I didn't weigh or measure last week and I haven't done the best food and exercise wise I was worried... but I lost another pound so that makes 5 total to make my current weight 234 and I actually lost some inches.
Here is this weeks break down...
My left and right thighs stayed the same and so did my left and right arms. Everything else changed and here is how much
My chest increased an inch from 43.5 to 44.5 I have gained an inch since I started....need to change that!
My small waist (under chest) decreased .25 of an inch from 38.25 to 38 for a total of 1 1/2 inches lost since I started
My large waist (belly button) decreased half an inch from 49 to 48.5 for a total of 1 inch lost since I started!!!
My hips decreased .25 of an inch from 50.25 to 50 I have lost a total of .25 of a inch since I started.
Def. not the best numbers but at least I still see change. I have been really slack on my water consumption and I finally have gotten back in the gym... yesterday so hopefully next week will show a bigger change and I will keep working towards my goal.

Dancing with the stars-- Technology Tuesday
DON'T FORGET TO CHECK BACK TOMORROW FOR WEIGHT WATCHIN' WEDNESDAY. I PROMISE I WILL POST.... NO MATTER HOW BAD THE RESULTS!
Around 8 last night I settled in on the couch and sent Brandon to watch tv in the bedroom. Dancing with the Stars started its 10th season last night.... and I was excited! A lot of people are upset about this season and don't like or know the "stars" The only star I didn't know was the soap star... but he's really good looking so it doesn't matter lol! Well for everyone that doesn't know who is on this season here is a quick run down...
Anna Trebunskaya (Pro) and Evan Lysacek (Star)
Evan is a Olympic medal winning figure skater. He skated in Vancouver and did a great job. He danced last night and did really good. He has trouble with turns because they are opposite ice skating... but keep an ey on him this season!
Ashly DelGrosso (Pro) and Buzz Aldrin (Star)
I hope everyone knows who Buzz is... he was one of the first people to walk on the moon. The man is 80 years old and did his best last night. He probably won't be in the competition for very long... but he has shown that just because you have a few years under your belt doesn't mean you can't get out there and enjoy life and exercise!
Chelsie Hightower (Pro) and Jake Pavelka (Star)
If you have turned on the t.v. on Monday nights over the last few months or looked at a magazine at the supermarket.... then you probably know who Jake Pavelka is. He is the most recent "Bachelor" and was actually a "contender" for the bachelorette... but she picked Ed instead. Jake is a pilot and recently proposed to his final girl. It was a major upset for everyone and no one liked who he picked. If it makes him happy...who cares. Well now he is on DWTS. He was nervous last night but did ok. I'm excited to see how he does the rest of the season!
Cheryl Burke (Pro) and Chad Ochocinco (Star)
Chad is a football player for the Cincinnati Bengals. Don't know his record or anything, but he is a good player and he did really good last night. I do know that he gets in trouble for dancing after touch downs so maybe this is a good direction for him to go! We will see.
Damian Whitewood (Pro) and Pamela Anderson (Star)
I think Pamela Anderson is self explanatory! If you don't know here watch old episodes of BayWatch. She did really good last night and was very quick with the cha-cha. I'm interested to see how she does with other dances. She was a little spastic though!
Derek Hough (Pro) and Nicole Scherzinger (Star)
Nicole is the lead singer of the group "The Pussycat Dolls" She has had dance training but not ballroom. She did really good last night and looked the best out of everyone! It is going to be exciting seeing how well she can do.
Edyta Sliwinska (Pro) and Aiden Turner (Star)
Aiden is a soap star...and I've never watched soaps... so I didn't know who he was, but I was really impressed with his dancing. He was by far the best guy last night and it should be a really good season with him and some of the others being so good from day one!
Louis Van Amstel (Pro) and Niecy Nash (Star)
Niecy is best known as an actress and comedian. She is on the tv show Reno 911 and seems to be very funny. She said last night that she loved her "jiggly parts" and is one of the larger women on the show! She did good and I look forward to seeing her throughout the season and to hear her comedic take on all things dancing.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy (Pro) and Erin Andrews (Star)
Erin is a reporter for ESPN. Lately, she has been best known for having to deal with a guy that was taking video of her through peep holes of hotel rooms. She seems to be handling things well and she did good last night. I'm interested to see how she does!
Mark Ballas (Pro) and Shannen Doherty (Star)
Shannen was on 90210 and charmed tv shows. Not sure what she is up to now. She was really really nervous and it showed but she did a good job. Her dad was there and it was really sweet how much she loves him!
Tony Dovolani (Pro) and Kate Gosselin (Star)
Kate is the mom on Jon and Kate plus 8. She is best known for having 8 kids, 1 set of twins and then a set of sextuplets. She is recently divorced and now on the show. She has never had formal training in dance or is she a performer or a athlete. She had a hard time but you never know...she might end up good. I'm not boycotting the show because she is on it. I know her and her ex have issues...everyone does so we will see how it goes.

Moments Monday
This weekend we were able to go see some hot air balloons. They were having tethered rides and then a evening balloon glow. Brandon wants to actually go on a hot air balloon ride.... but I don't. So this was fun for us to go and enjoy it without having to actually ride in it. I took a lot of pictures and here are a few.... hope you enjoy!!

My family went to dinner for my Aunts birthday and then went to see the hot air balloons. We told her we got her some of the biggest balloons ever! She said it was the best birthday ever!!

I will blog everyday this week.....
I have been having a hard time blogging this past week and a half. Sorry to all 5 of my faithful readers out there. I appreciate you!
To catch up over the past few days..... I weighed myself last wednesday and had lost a pound. I was not very happy with how I was doing with my diet... so I didn't even measure. I will be back this Wednesday with weight and measurements!
We went out to eat a few times the past couple of weeks and I have been proud of myselft with the choices I have made. At Ruby Tuesday's I got their mini burgers and a salad. It was 2 mini burgers and they were really good! I made sure to eat more salad than anything else. I went to applebees and they have these menu items under 500 calories and I got one of those. It was really really good some type of chicken with fresh veggies. Haven't made any outstanding recipes lately... so maybe one this coming friday!
Haven't seen any new movies lately. I have started listening to Lady Antebellum (2 of the group members are from Augusta) and they are my new favorite. I've listened to them since their first c.d. but now i'm addicted to their newest one!

Girl Talk Thursday--- a few days late
If you go back a couple of posts I blogged about my good friends Shallon and Sheldon getting engaged! Well, they picked a date... actually Shallon has had this date picked for a while, she just didn't know if she would get the ring and be able to plan a wedding in time. They are getting married on October 23, 2010 and guess what..... I'm the MOH!!! I'm very exciting to be part of this day and couldn't be happier for these two! Since we are on the subject of weddings one of my favorite movies is 27 dresses. In this movie the girl has some crazy bridesmaid dresses...totaling 27 of them. I sure don't have that many and all of mine have been very pretty and dresses I really do love. So for girl talk Thursday I'm going to show you my bridesmaid dresses that I've collected over the years and tell you about each bride!!! Some of the pictures are of me in the dress, some are of models, and some are of other girls in the wedding.

Lindsey and Tiago October 15, 2005
I have known Lindsey since we were little. We grew up together at church and were at each others house every weekend. I actually introduced Tiago and Lindsey one day at Augusta State University...and their relationship grew from that first meeting. I met Tiago at a Baptist Student Union meeting. He was stationed at Fort Gordon and was looking for a christian group to be part of. I still remember sitting in my bedroom one night when he called me and wanted to know what his friend should do "the friend was interested in a girl...that was out on a date with another guy" I quickly realized that friend was Tiago... and that girl was Lindsey. I told him to tell her how he felt and then let her decide. She decided on Tiago and they were marrried not too long after that!!! They still live here in the area and have 2 beautiful daughters Savannah and Charlotte!

Mandy and Trey June 10, 2006
I have known Mandy since I was little from church and our families being close friends she also used to babysit my brother and me. I remember sneaking out of bed to go sit and listen to Mandy talk on the phone to her friends and want to be like her! When I got in middle school and high school we became really good friends and I really enjoyed hanging out with the "older" girls. I met Trey when I first got into the college group at church. I remember him and another guy were visiting and they were telling us about their wild adventures... a few I think involved cops lol and I remember being a little scared of them!!! Little did I know that soon Mandy and Trey would start dating and then get married... and No i'm not scared of Trey anymore... I think he has calmed down some lol! They still live in here in the area also and have a handsome little man named Parker!

Tracy and Kevin June 7, 2008
I have known Tracy forever!!!! We have grown up together at church and our families have been friends for years. Tracy and I really became close when I joined the puppet team at church. Her dad was the director and we got the chance to hang out a lot. As we got into high school and then in college our friendship grew and we became pretty inseparable. I remember Tracy calling and telling me about this guy that worked at the school she was student teaching at. She was interested but didn't want to be but then she wanted to like him and then she didn't... I told her to go for it... mainly because that's what I tell everyone! Well they started hanging out and ended up dating and pretty soon Brandon and I went on a 4 day vacation with Kevin and Tracy. I learned that weekend that Kevin was perfect for Tracy. They just fit... my mom knew it from the first moment she saw Kevin and Tracy together! They live here in the area still and they also have a little boy named Wyatt. He is so adorable when he laughs...which he does a lot!

Nicole and Scott August 8, 2009
I have known Nicole since kindergarten. We have grown up together from elementary through high school. In high school we were on the flag/dance team together and we looked a lot alike and at one football game my parents videoed Nicole during the half time show instead of me! We were known as the twins and have been really good friends for a long time. I met Scott our freshman year of high school. He went to Lakeside and then started going to our church also. We became good friends and if you knew us in high school you know we did date for a while but we were meant to be more like family than anything else. When him and Nicole started dating I was so excited for both of them. Nicole and Scott dated through the end of high school and all through college. We all knew they would get married we just weren't sure when.... Well timing worked out great because Nicole and I were able to plan our weddings and finish our last couple of semesters of college together. We would sit in class and make invitation lists, look through wedding books, and talk about everything else... instead of school work. Good thing though we both graduated with our bachelor degrees, got married, and now actually work side by side at work. They do not have kids yet, but they do have a big baby named Chloe... she is an American Bulldog and I am her favorite dog sitter. Well she likes Brandon a lot too. They are planning on waiting a while for kids... so we will see! They are also still in the area

I met Shallon in middle school. Her family also started attending the church... they were one of the first African American families at the church, even though Shallon claims up and down she's white! We became fast friends and continued being friends all the way through high school. We were in band together and were able to go on a lot of trips together and have a lot of fun... with Nicole also! When we were in high school Shallon said she was going to marry a white guy. We all joked with her about it and then she went to college and met Sheldon... he is the whitest black guy ever... so I guess Shallon was kinda right!! They are such a cute couple and are a lot like Brandon and I. Shallon is loud and super friendly and Sheldon is very quite and reserved.. till you get to know him! Brandon is the same way...and well I'm super loud myself. So we all get a long and have a lot of fun together. Shallon and Sheldon will get married in 221 days and will not be living here. But they better come home often!!!!! They don't have any kids yet...or any pets. Stay updated for more stuff about their wedding!!

Wow....I need to keep up with my blogging!
Hey Everyone!!
So I just realized I haven't blogged since Wednesday and here it is Tuesday! So almost a week of not blogging... I need to get better about that! Ok well since I have to catch up on Girl Talk Thursday, Food Friday, anything exciting from the weekend, and Moments Monday... I guess I will be spliting this into a couple of blogs.... so make sure you read all of them from today!
